The titanium root itself (the implant) starts at 25,000 CZK with us. The cost of a finished tooth is higher, though — an implant also calls for a crown, and depending on the state of the jaw, sometimes bone augmentation as well. In this article you'll find what the individual parts cost, what makes up the final price for a single tooth and for replacing an entire jaw, and what adds to it — with no surprises at the reception desk.

If you're still finding out what an implant is, who it suits, and how placement works, start with the overview on the dental implants page. This article deals solely with the cost.

What the price of an implant is made up of

In everyday terms, "the cost of an implant" means the cost of the whole new tooth. But that tooth comes from three parts, and each is calculated separately. That's why we can't give a single figure until we know exactly what you need.

PartWhat it isGuide price
ImplantThe titanium (or zirconia) root set into the jawfrom 25,000 CZK
Abutment + crownThe connector and the visible part of the tooth fitted onto the implantcrown from 13,000 CZK
Bone augmentationRestoring missing jawbone, if there isn't enoughtailored price

A single complete tooth on an implant therefore works out at roughly from 38,000 CZK, if no bone needs building up. You'll receive the exact figure in writing after an examination.

What affects the price

Two people with the same number of missing teeth can pay different amounts. The main factors are the state of the jaw and the extent of the work.

FactorEffect on price
Condition of the jawboneIf bone is missing, augmentation (bone building) is required — that adds to the price
Number of implantsThe price rises with the number of roots placed
Type of crownAll-ceramic (pure ceramic) vs. zirconia (the stronger variant)
Necessary preparationTooth extraction, treatment of an infection, or a 3D X-ray before the procedure
Implant materialTitanium vs. zirconia

Before planning, we usually need a 3D jaw X-ray (a three-dimensional scan for precise planning), which costs 4,500 CZK. It shows us how much bone you have and whether it will need building up — which is the most common reason the final price differs between two patients.

All-on-4: replacing an entire jaw — a tailored price

All-on-4 is a solution for patients missing most or all of the teeth in a jaw. The whole fixed restoration is anchored on four implants (six in the All-on-6 variant), so the patient doesn't need an implant for every missing tooth.

For this solution we can't quote a single price, because it depends heavily on the starting situation. The key question is whether you already have enough of your own bone in the jaw. If you do, the procedure is simpler and cheaper. If bone is missing — which is common after a longer time without teeth — it has to be built up first, and that increases both the price and the length of treatment. The type of final restoration and the number of jaws also play a part.

We therefore set the specific price only on the basis of a 3D X-ray and an examination, and you'll receive it in writing in the treatment plan. A no-obligation consultation is the first step here — we find out the state of the bone, and only then quote a realistic figure.

What's included in the price — and how much the consultation costs

The price of an implant covers the titanium root itself and its placement. The crown, any bone augmentation, and the 3D X-ray are charged separately — which is why it's important that the treatment plan lists every item. The initial consultation, with an examination and X-ray, costs 2,000 CZK.

You'll receive your treatment plan in writing, including all items and prices. The reception desk won't present you with a different figure from the one we agreed on in advance.

Is an implant worth it compared with cheaper solutions?

An implant is usually a more expensive initial investment than a dental bridge or a removable denture. Its advantage is that it replaces the root of the tooth as well and doesn't burden the neighbouring healthy teeth by grinding them down. With good hygiene it usually lasts many years.

Which solution is worth it in your case depends on the number of missing teeth and the state of the bone and the neighbouring teeth. We'll go through a comparison of both routes at the consultation.

Your common questions about cost

Why is the implant price given as "from" rather than fixed?

Because the final amount is made up of several items — the root, the crown, and, depending on the state of the jaw, bone augmentation too. Without an examination and a 3D X-ray, no single figure can be quoted responsibly. After the consultation, you'll receive it in writing.

Does the 25,000 CZK include the crown?

No. The figure from 25,000 CZK is for the titanium root itself. The visible crown on the implant is charged separately (from 13,000 CZK). A complete tooth therefore works out at roughly from 38,000 CZK, if no bone augmentation is needed.

What if I need bone building up?

Augmentation (restoring missing jawbone) is set individually according to its extent. It's the most common reason the price differs between two patients with a similar problem. We assess the need from a 3D X-ray.

Can an implant be paid for in instalments?

A larger reconstruction of the dentition can be spread out. We'll go through the options at the consultation and set them out in the written treatment plan, so you know in advance what figure to expect.

Is the consultation paid for, and does it commit me to anything?

The consultation costs 2,000 CZK including the examination and X-ray, and it carries no obligation. We listen to what you need, show you the options, and you think it all over calmly at home.

Summary

The titanium root of an implant starts at 25,000 CZK; a complete tooth with a crown works out at roughly from 38,000 CZK. The final price is most affected by the state of the jawbone — which is why we set it responsibly only after a 3D X-ray and an examination. The same applies to replacing an entire jaw (All-on-4): the price is always tailored and depends above all on whether you already have enough of your own bone.

For complete information on the process, the types of implants, and aftercare, see the dental implants page. And if you'd like to know the price exactly for your case, the first step is a no-obligation consultation - from the 3D X-ray we'll see the state of the bone and quote a realistic figure.
